The show opened Friday, April 21st and continued through July 9, 2023.

With joyful dedication of the Rockford Art Museum, we present LIFE, the paintings of Deborah Newton. This was a premier showing of Deborah’s artworks over the decades of her life and professional career. The show featured an extensive collection of works from never-before gathered together beginning in her hometown of Rockford in the 1960s through her final years in Lake Geneva in the 2000s.

Visitors were invited to step into the vast array of large, peaceful, and jubilant canvases reflecting the artist’s journey through the colors of her feelings and her dance with the brush. Embracing her connections with music, travels, friends, family, illness, joy, loss, and love, she illustrated sweepingly to viewers how painting and art was her LIFE.

The keepsake booklet encompasses the 2023 exhibit with nearly 100 pages of full-color imagery along with history and writings from patrons and family. This is the first-ever book featuring Deborah’s paintings. Available for online orders with shipping. Limited quantities.
